Our Intention
Yogapeutics® blends the practice of yoga with modern sciences and therapeutic tools of occupational therapy to strengthen the mind and body, provide opportunities for play and creativity and deliver evidence-based education so our students thrive both in the studio and in life.
Our Approach

Yogapeutics is the first studio worldwide to incorporate mindfulness, therapeutic tools and sensory integration strategies into aerial yoga instruction for kids and teens, but we hope to help other teachers and therapists do the same through our teacher trainings and continuing education!
Our unique classes utilize yoga poses, and mindful movement-based activities infused with tools, props and strategies that modern science demonstrates as therapeutic and beneficial to the brain and body. We also ensure our classes are playful and FUN!
In our comprehensive practice, we use a fabric sling rigged from the ceiling called a "yoga hammock." We use the hammocks as a prop to practice yoga and evidence-based mindfulness techniques in a fun and unique way: in the air!
We incorporate concepts and evidence-based tools such as growth mindset, character development, basic neuroscience and sensory integration into our yoga classes to best support physical, mental and emotional growth in today's kids, teens and adults.

"Human bodies are designed to move often in various ways, and the brain learns especially well through play. When we combine movement, play and practice mindfulness in a way that kids and teens perceive as fun, we can raise the next generation to more easily access inner peace, and social, emotional and academic successes!" |
