As a parent in the fast, technology driven modern day, I often feel pulled in so many directions between my family, my career and my own needs.  As an OT and yoga teacher, I see that same struggle reflected in so many families that I serve.  That's why I've spent the past several years researching, studying and practicing for myself and others that feel drawn to a more peaceful, sensory informed life.  In this video, I'll reveal the 8 essentials I use in my own life and that I custom tailor for the families I serve.  These 8 essentials are...

Picture
  1. Nourish through Food
  2. Release and Decrease Toxins
  3. Practice Mindfulness and Stress Management
  4. Use Sensory Serum & Mindful Movement
  5. Cultivate Uplifting Tribes
  6. Adapt and Enrich the Environment
  7. Rest & Sleep (where less is not more)
  8. Connect & Accept

Now I don't expect you to be able to make changes in all of these areas at once, and I certainly don't want to overwhelm you.  I am constantly coming back to these essentials in my own life to generate better health and ease in the everyday.  It's a daily practice and just like the people that climb Mount Everest, the ultimate outcome is achieved by taking one small step at a time.

Just becoming more mindful of how complex we are and how many areas affect our sensory systems in this modern world as well as understanding how  mental and physical health and happiness is affected by a comprehensive approach can be the stepping stone towards the life you really want for yourself and your child.

I hope to serve you through this video, and my whole hearted intention is that it shifts your perspective or allows an aha! moment to reveal itself to you in your journey as a parent (or therapist or yoga teacher).

I am so grateful for the time you carve out to gather insight, and whether they express it or not, your kids are grateful, too.  I hope you can pause a moment and offer yourself gratitude for this effort right here, right now: reading this blog post!  The world's children need parents like you.  I honor your efforts and big heart.

Without futher ado, here you go!
